Walking the streets of Kathmandu our photographer Min Ratna Bajracharya found something unusual. He explains that people in Nepal are used to see this kind of things coming from India, but not from our country. This is the story:
Ramji Neupane came all the way from Makwanpur to Kathmandu to share with others what fortune has given to him during this Tihar: a young calf with two noses and three eyes -one exactly in the middle of his forehead.
The calf is well looked after by his owner.Ramji likes when people out of curiosity come to his van and marvel at the miracle. The calf seems to enjoy the attention too and doesn't move. He is warm under a blanket Ramji has put especially for him. People come closer to see the animal, touch him, offer money and food, put Tika and worship the abnormal calf believing it’s the reincarnation of goddess Laxmi.
Master and animal were in Shita Paila chok where the crowd got excited to see the once in a life time event on Sunday morning.
Ramji and his calf tour around Kathmandu in a van adjusted to give the animal enough led room. They even have a banner to advertise their arrival.
