BROKEN HOMES: Rajesh, 42, walks down a pile of rubble which used to be his home along the Bagmati river at Thapathali. On early Tuesday morning the Armed Police Force and bulldozers rolled in to demolish houses and and evict squatters. Ten people were detained for resisting eviction and teargas was fired into the premises to clear out the residents.
