Take to the skies

KIRAN PANDAY

When more attention is paid to who flies where and for what reason than the two prime ministerial elections that were scheduled this week, you know something's not quite right. The northern skies were particularly crowded, with PLA commanders and Maoist Chairman Dahal himself popping over the border to China. President Ram Baran Yadav's visit, to cap the week, put a more official gloss on proceedings.

But apart from reiterating China's stance on Nepal ("sort out your relationship with India") and Nepal's stance on China ("One China"), little transpired that helped clear up matters back home. If only the political skies were as clear as what trekkers in Pokhara would have woken up to recently. For the time being, we remain hopeful that the High Level Task Force, which had its mandate extended, will come up with some answers.

1. BILL FRIDAY

1.       I think back in Nepal - Congress continued with RCP. So, here are my thoughts.

2.       15th round of elections   I think it is no bodys mistake and no bodys failure at least not of political leaders, not of JNK, not of CA members, not of election schedules, not of PKD and not of RCP. If there is any, it may be of knowledge community because we could not help them clear up the mess earlier.

3.       If CA members go for voting will they lose(fail)? - Absolutely not. Because it is your duty to vote. Because people sent you to vote. Because it is a right thing to do. Better late than never. It is also your duty clear up the mess.  It is just a brief confused time around and you should let it pass.

4.       If you vote for RCP are you making a failed man a PM? Absolutely not. As RCP, PKD, JNK none of them were voted out, so no one has lost the election. No one has failed.

5.       What is the morale thing to do? You decide yourself. If I were a CA member I would go and vote for RCP in this situation.

6.       CONSENSUS - Voting for a common outcome is a form of consensus Maoist propose to go for voting for the Govt to be lead by Congress, Madheshi Forum to support to go for the voting, UML and other parties accept and go for the voting. There are other consensus options too but at this point I think this is what should be.

7.       The World will be watching your progress.

2. BILL FRIDAY

MR PRESIDENT:

AS YOU ARE IN INDIA, WHAT ABOUT HAVING MOUNTAIN FLIGHTS OF EVEREST, A BRIEF STOP BY IN NEPAL AND GIVE A ONE SENTENCE SPEECH OF MELT ARMS WHERE THEY ARE STORED AND MAOIST DISSOLVE YOUR YCL. THIS WILL HELP STABILIZE THE PEACE IN THE REGION IN ALL THREE COUNTRIES INDIA, NEPAL AND CHINA A BASE OF ONE THIRD OF THE WORLD POPULATION.

3. BILL FRIDAY

LOOK AT THE PEACE. LOOK AT THE CONSTITUTION. LOOK AT THE BUDGET. SOMETIMES WOMEN SOLVE PROBLEMS BETTER. AND THIS IS 15TH ROUND. RCP, VOTERS, LEADERS ALTHOUGH CONGRESS IS CONTINUING WITH YOU, WHAT ABOUT SK(FEMALE)?

4. BILL FRIDAY

I think, back in Nepal the political situation is still in limbo and the country has not found a new PM yet.

Political solution  ï¿½ do not keep your consensus proposals within yourself. Bring those into the floor. I think that is the main thing lagging behind.

Other solutions find your path in the letters of the Law. If your Laws are not clear follow general principles of the Law accepted Worldwide.

I tried little bit but I think it is not helping you much as I do not see results. So, I stop here. I may take up couple of issues on Constitution as they arise. I will however read both UNMINs departure reports and your new Constitution. Thx.
