Moti is back in town

Illustrator and comic artist Kripa Joshi recently launched the Miss Moti anthology, Miss Moti and Her Short Stories which chronicles the adventures of her plus-sized heroine and deals with diverse themes from romance to horror to fairytale to porn. "My anxiety about my body inspired me to create Miss Moti who I feel is a role-model for women of all sizes," she explains.

Joshi whose creations are influenced by traditional Mithila art, says it was a challenge to tell stories in a limited space, but it allowed her to grow as an artist, experiment with design and also explore secondary characters. Her previous works include Miss Moti and the Cotton Candy and Miss Moti and the Big Apple.
