The Soaltee Kathmandu has become the first Autograph Collection hotel in South Asia, joining Marriott Bonvoy’s handpicked portfolio of over 30 brands and 330 independent hotels. The Collection celebrates properties that are “Exactly Like Nothing Else.”
The hotel offers 285 rooms and suites and has lush 12-acre grounds in the Tahachal area. The interior reflects Kathmandu’s architecture and history Thangka paintings, wooden jaali windows, and exposed brickwork. A curated installation called “The Storyteller” runs through its public spaces, telling the hotel’s 58-year legacy through personal tales and guest contributions.
Dining options include Garden Terrace, which serves a signature Nepali thali. Kakori offers Awadhi-Indian dishes like Murgh Chapli Kabab and Dal Kakori. Bao Xuan brings authentic Chinese flavours. Patio provides open-air dining with live music and garden views. And Rodi Bar and the Sports Lounge offer vibrant spots for drinks and relaxation.
For wellness, the Soaltee has a spa with traditional Newa massage, a clay tennis court, a 24-hour fitness center, and an outdoor pool. The hotel’s 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces are perfect for weddings.
Sustainability is woven into its operations, with energy-efficient systems, an in-house water bottling plant, an herb garden, and locally sourced materials.
