A popular Newari festival observed every year during the December full moon, Yomari Punhi, is upon us. Traditionally people in Kathmandu Valley kept winter chills away by eating the carb-rich snack on this day.
This day is also marked by cultural processions and dance and music programs by the people of Newa community inside Kathmandu Valley.
