RPP-N Chair Kamal Thapa and MJF (D) Chair Bijaya Gachhadar have become Deputy Prime Ministers. UCPN (M), the UML's most important coalition partner, is also expected to choose one more Deputy Prime Minister. UCPN (M) leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara is believed to be another Deputy Prime Minister.

The UCPN (M), however, has revealed only Hari Bol Gajurel's name as a minister. Apart from Gajurel, UML's Agni Kharel, Som Prakash Pandey and Satya Narayan Mandal and RPP-N's Ram Kumar Subba also took oath of office and secrecy as ministers.

The cabinet will be expanded when UCPN (M) finalises more names for ministers.
