The alliance, which is a coalition of 29 Madhesi and Janajati parties agitating against the constitution, will be carrying out protest rallies in different parts of Kathmandu Valley from 19 to 29 May. The alliance will then organise rallies in Pokhara and Birganj for two more days.
Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) Chair Upendra Yadav, who is also the coordinator of the alliance, announced fresh protests from a corner meeting at Ratnapark, Kathmandu on Wednesday. A meeting of the alliance held at the FSFN office early in the day had taken a decision to this effect.
Yadav said the alliance will not end its agitation unless the constitution is amended to ensure proportional representation of Madhesi, Janajati and marginalised people in all state organs.
