The newly reconstructed Lainchaur Ground is now open to public. The 54,921 sq ft multi-purpose space was rebuilt by Ncell in collaboration with Ward 26 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. It features a mini-football ground, basketball court, children’s play area, stone spouts and a traditional resting place. To ensure proper drainage and water filtration during winter 13 wells have been built underneath the ground. “As a socially responsible corporate citizen, Ncell accords high priority to sustainability and environment and we are delighted that in line with our commitment, we have rebuilt this great multi-purpose ground, contributing towards the clean, green and healthy city,” said Andy Chong, CEO of Ncell. The company will maintain the ground for the next 2 years.
