Nepal’s consumer price inflation doubled to 5.22% in June, up from 2.72% a year earlier. Food and beverage inflation rose to 4.95%, while non-food and services climbed to 5.37%. Key drivers included sharp increases in fuel prices, fruits, oil and transport. Urban inflation (5.38%) outpaced rural (4.78%). Koshi province saw the highest inflation at 5.75%.
