A massive landslide along the Prithvi Highway due to slope undercutting by the 26 August flood has forced industry operators to reroute cargo trucks through the Tribhuvan Highway, causing disruptions in the supply of LP Gas. It has limited the supply to 18,259 cylinders across nine operating gas companies, whereas the daily demand of Kathmandu valley is 100,000 cylinders. Supplies Minister Gauri Yadav threatened strict action against hoarders.
