It is that rainy month of the Nepali year again when Hindus wear saffron, walk barefoot, fetch holy water from nearest rivers and worship their god, Shiva. They are 'Bol Bom' – devotees of Shiva. And they go on this pilgrimage every Monday of the Nepali month Shrawan. In Kathmandu Valley, Bol Bom pilgrims walk all the way up to Sundari Jal for holy water, which they offer to Pashupatinath temple on the bank of Bagmati.
