Nepal's first presidential election after the promulgation of the new Constitution began on Wednesday morning.
CPN-UML vice-chair Bidhya Bhandari and Nepali Congress (NC)'s Kul Bahadur Gurung are contending in the elections being held at Legislative Parliament Secretariat, New Baneshwor.
The voting that began at 11 am will end at 2pm. The counting of votes will begin from 2.30pm. According to the election schedule, the results will be presented to the Speaker at 4.45om and the new President will be announced at 5pm.
