The only three highways joining Nepal and China have been blocked by monsoon and floods. After Rasuwagadi-Kerung checkpoint was washed off on 26 August, Kodari was also blocked by landslides, and the Korala crossing in Mustang is inaccessible because of roads and bridges damaged by last week's rains. It may take up to 10 days for the Mustang road to reopen. This has affected Nepal's imports of EVs and consumer goods ahead of the Dasain-Tihar festivals.
