The Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) entered its second year last week and is set to expand operations in Biratnagar, Birganj, Pokhara, Nepalganj and Butwal. NLIC says it has enlisted 8,600 customers, who've paid up over Rs 72.5 million in premiums. The value of the policies sold in the first year adds up to over Rs 1.25 billion. The New Business Age, also completed its first year of operations last week, after splitting from the parent magazine that publishes without the "New" prefix.
