The government has named a five-member public expenditure review commission to report on how public spending can be improved and how resources can be properly allocated to the priority sectors. The commission is headed by Binaya Dhoj Chand, MP, Shanker Sharma, member of the Nalional Planning Commission and three other government officials. The commission is to report to the government in six months.
