Nepali Times will be doing a special coverage of the 11th South Asian Games due to open in Dhaka, Bangladesh tonight.
We will be following Nepal’s performances in Dhaka with our reporter Suresh Neupane on the ground. While we wait for the starting gun to fire, please take some time to read our previous reporting on Nepal teams’ preparations for the games, which are also listed below.
Formerly called South Asian Federation Games, Nepal hosted the first regional games in 1984 and Nepali teams have participated regularly in the bi-annual sporting event ever since. This year, a team of 479 is attending the games and will be participating in all 23 events.
