Ministry of Industry says Nepal has enough sugar to meet demand for the next eight months amidst India’s ban on exports until September citing low sugarcane harvests. Nepal’s sugar production has fallen to 120,000 tons against the demand of 270,000 tons. The ministry is urging against panic buying and price manipulation.
