The Federation of Community Schools has urged the government to scrap the Sunday holiday for schools, warning that the extra day off would make it difficult to complete the curriculum and affects students’ results. The holiday was introduced to ease fuel demand. The federation passed a resolution at its national convention demanding schools continues operating six days a week. They also criticised the government for making this change without being consulted.
