The meeting of the three major parties, the UCPN (Maoist), the NC and the UML, ahead of the 12th PM election, ended without consensus, predicting ahead that the country will not get a new prime minister before Dashai.
In the election, the only candidate, NC's Ram Chandra Poudel secured a record low of 89 votes in his favour, which means that his own party members did not vote for him. NC has 114 members in the house. One vote was cast against him while twenty-nine lawmakers opted for 'no vote' section in the ballot paper. Altogether 119 lawmakers participated during the voting.
The 13th round of PM election will be held on 27 October.
