Of the 132 constituencies where vote counting is going on, the NC lead in at least 60 constituencies. UML are second with 45, while UCPN(M) are ahead in 16, MJF-L follow with 5, and RPP lead in 3.
Vote counting in Sankhuwasabha and Taplejung has not begun because ballot boxes have not been brought from remote areas. In Tanahun-2 counting stopped after candidates from other parties protested against supposed leaks.
A polling booth in Dagnam, Myagdi, saw 100 per cent eligible voters turn up on Tuesday. Polls that were postponed in two voting centres in Jumla, after CPN-M cadres stole PR ballot papers, will be held on Friday.
