Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has taken his first cabinet decision on Tuesday signing the decision logbook of Council of Ministers, in which it has been decided that any payment of Rs 5,000 or above has to be posted in government website for three days before making the final payment.

PM Koirala, who did not hold any public post previously, took this decision in a bid to maintain financial discipline and transparency in government works. This decision will be effective for all offices under the Office of the Prime Minister.

Earlier in the afternoon, Koirala was sworn in by President Ram Baran Yadav amid a ceremony in Shital Niwas. Koirala is expected to form a small council of ministers in a few days.
