Bangladesh defeated Nepal by eight wickets in its second match of the ICC World T20 2014 held at Chittagong, Bangladesh on Tuesday evening.
Bangladesh chose to field first after winning the toss and Nepal posted a target of 127 runs with the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.
Paras Khadka scored highest 41 runs while Sarad Vesawkar made 40 runs, Gyanendra Malla 13 runs and Sagar Pun 12 runs. Al-Amin Hossain took two wickets for Bangladesh.
In return, Bangladesh chased the target at 15.3 overs scoring 132 runs losing two wickets. Anamul Haque scored 42 runs, Shakib Al Hasan 37 runs, Tamim Iqbal 30 runs and Sabbir Rahmin 21 runs.
Shakti Gauchan and Basanta Regmi claimed a wicket each for Nepal.
With the win Bangladesh has almost qualified for the next round of World Cup.
Both the teams had made flying start on Saturday. Nepal had defeated Hong Kong by 80 runs while Bangladesh secured nine wickets victory against Afghanistan.
Nepal will now take on Afghanistan in its last match on Thursday under Group A.
