The British Ambassador to Nepal, John Tucknott, met Prime Minister Madhav Kumar at the prime minister's office in Singha Darbar today. The two discussed the peace process, constitution drafting and issues of bilateral cooperation. Tucknott's main concern was the implication of UNMIN's departure.

In the meeting, Tucknutt said that the United Kingdom, being a member of the United Nations Security Council, is hopeful of integration and rehabilitation of Maoist army combatants by the Special Committee through consensus among political parties after UNMIN leaves.

In response, the PM Nepal said that the government will adopt maximum flexibility to take the peace process to a logical conclusion. He also said that the peace process will be concluded following all agreements made in the past and through new agreements.
