The Constituent Assembly (CA) has concluded Tuesday's session, having endorsed 176 articles in total since clause-wise voting began on Sunday.

CA Chairman Subas Nembang presented more than one hundred articles today for vote. Up to 57 articles had been endorsed yesterday.

CA's next meeting will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am.

Meanwhile, Chairman Nembang met President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at the latter's office this morning and invited him to the ceremony of the promulgation of Nepal's new constitution, which is to be held this Sunday, 20 September.

Several countries, including India, the United States and China have welcomed developments in the constitution-drafting process. In a press release of India's Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Indian government said it welcomes the ongoing process and praised Nepal's political leadership. But it has expressed concern over violence in Tarai that has killed as many as 36 people in the last month.

Similarly, the US government, in a press release said it hopes that the document that emerges embraces the creativity, inclusiveness, and flexibility that will build a peaceful and prosperous Nepal. It urged Nepalis to engage  in peaceful, non-violent means, and call on the Nepali security forces to exercise restraint in responding to protests.
