Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai expanded the Council of Ministers for the third time on Thursday, taking its strength to 21.

Among those inducted into the Council of Ministers today are two from the UCPN (Maoist), two from the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) and one each from the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party and the Sadbhavana Sanghiya Party.

Defense Minister: Sharat Singh Bhandari

Minister for Environment: Hem Raj Tated

Minister for Law and Justice: Brijesh Kumar Gupta

Minister for Industry:Anil Kumar Jha

Minister for Commerce and Supplies: Lekh Raj Bhatta

Minister for Federal Affairs, Constituent Assembly, Parliamentary Affairs and Culture: Gopal Kirati.

The PM then administered the oath of office and secrecy to the six ministers in the presence of President Ram Baran Yadav amidst a special ceremony organized at the Presidential Office, Shital Niwas.

Although the Council of Ministers has been expanded for the third time,it has not yet attained full shape.
