Jamim Shah, president of Channel Nepal and Space Time Network, was shot dead by two unknown gunmen Sunday afternoon.

Shah was gunned down in front of the French Embassy in Lazimpat at 2:30pm, when two masked men on motorbikes fired at his car.

Shah was taken to Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj with three shots in his chest and head, but died during treatment an hour later.

His driver sustained bullet injuries on his left leg.

Shah founded the first television cable network in Nepal, Space Time Network, and used to run two newspapers - Space Time and Space Time Today - before they folded. He was also the president of Channel Nepal, first private television company.
