Newly elected members of Constituent Assembly (CA) were sworn in at the International Conference Center in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
The ceremony was chaired by the senior-most member of CA Surya Bahadur Thapa, who was sworn in as the acting Chairman of CA by the President yesterday.
Altogether, 240 CA members were elected through the first-past-the-post election held on 19 November and 335 CA members from the proportional representational electoral system. The remaining 26 CA members to be nominated by the cabinet are yet to be finalised.
The first CA meeting will take place on 22 January.
