Vice Chairman of CPN-UML Bam Dev Gautam criticised Nepali Congress backtracking from its decision to not award the Home Ministry portfolio to UML. He even warned that his party will wage a nationwide “exposure” against the NC's deception.
Gautam, who was likely to get the post of Home Minister in the new government led by Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, made this remark at a meeting of the employees’ association of Rastriya Banijya Bank on Tuesday.
The senior UML leader said "NC deceived our party after Sushil Koirala was elected to the post of prime minister with UML's support."
Gautam said that the national politics has fallen into serious crisis due to NC backtracking from Sunday's agreement to give UML the Home Ministry portfolio in return for latter's support for an NC-led government.
