Outgoing Ambassador of India to Nepal, Rakesh Sood paid a farewell call on President Ram Baran Yadav at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas, on Tuesday.

Earlier today, the outgoing Indian Ambassador to Nepal also met Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal at his official residence at Baluwatar and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav.

Foreign Secretary Madan Kumar Bhattarai hosted a dinner in hounour of Sood to bid farewell to him on Monday.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Khanal and Deputy Prime Minister Yadav wished for the success of Sood's future career.

Sood is returning home upon the completion of his tenure soon. The Government of India has decided to appoint senior officer at the Ministry of External Affairs' Jayant Prasad the new ambassador to Nepal.
