Voting is taking place on Wednesday to elect the new leadership of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) - the umbrella organisation of more than 8,000 journalists across the country.

The election is taking place during its 23rd general convention which kicked off yesterday in Kathmandu with the theme of ‘Peace, Consensus and Constitution; Campaign of FNJ’.

Five candidates including Poshan KC, Shiva Gaunle and Kedar Koirala are vying for the post of chairperson of FNJ.

The voting will take place from 8 AM to 3 PM today.
