Export of Nepali readymade clothes has increased.

According to the Export promotion Center, export of readymade garments increased as the demand for them was on high priority in the nations associated with the European Union.

The Center claims of 46.13 per cent of the total export of the readymade garments to Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and other European countries. Nepal exported the highest quantity of readymade garments to France in the last fiscal year. Similarly, Britain and Germany fell on second and third importers of Nepali readymade garments.

Nepal supplied readymade clothes worth around Rs. 710 Million in the last fiscal year. The demand for Nepali clothes from the European countries has been increasing in the recent years, said chairman of the Readymade Garments Association, Udayraj Pandey.

Japan and Israel have also showed more interest in Nepali garments in the last few years, he said.
