Nepal have drawn their group stage match with Pakistan 1-1, with 15-year-old Bimal Gharti Magar saving the day for Nepal in stoppage time. Magar, Nepal's youngest debutant, has now become its youngest goalscorer in international football.

Earlier in the first half, Pakistan had taken an early lead and looked like they would frustrate the home team, who would have proceeded to the semifinals if they had won.

With a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh on Saturday, Nepal sit on top of Group A with 4 points after two games, edging defending champions India, who drew their match against Bangladesh today, on goal difference. Pakistan and Bangladesh have 1 point each.

Both Nepal and India, who play on Thursday, need only a point each to qualify for the next round, while Bangladesh must beat Pakistan and rely on a win in the former fixture to make the semifinals.

In Group B, Maldives and Afghanistan have 3 points each and play each other on Wednesday. Maldives thrashed Sri Lanka 10-0 and Afghanistan beat Bhutan 3-0 on Monday.
