Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has directed the Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Lila Mani Paudel to inspect and monitor eateries along the highways.
PM Bhattarai directed the secretary to take steps after complaints were heard that the restaurants and hotels along the highways charged exorbitant prices from the service recipients by providing stale, rotten and unhealthy food items.
The PM directed the secretary to take action to the transport entrepreneurs for charging high fees to the passengers along with keeping the toilets neat and clean in the hotels of highways.
The Personal Secretariat of the PM has also urged all to provide information instantly if any irregularities are discovered.
