Russian Non-Resident Nepalese and present Vice-Chairman of the NRN Association Jiwa Lamichhane has been elected the chairman of the Association unopposed.
Organising a press meet here in the Capital early Friday, Present Chairman of the association Devman Hirachan withdrew his candidacy for the post. He expressed his support to the new committee to succeed its policies and programmes.
Newly elected Chairman Lamichhane expressed his confidence that the experiences from Hirachan will lead the association to the path of success.
Association's conveners, office bearers, and senior NRNs coordinated to elect the chairman unopposed.It has been learnt that there have been efforts to forge consensus on other posts as well.
