The Patan Museum has opened its library to the public.

The library was started by keeping 600 different books related with information on Nepali art and history. Anyone is allowed to avail its facilities free of cost.

The library of the Museum was only available for researchers until now. According to Chief of the Museum Suresh Man Lakhe, the library has been made in the access of all in viewing of their needs.

The library has been shifted to the audio-visual room on the request of the viewers, students and officials of the Museum. Observers can get more and more information from this facility, added Lakhe.

At least 300-500 people visit the Museum daily.
