UML candidate in the constituent assembly Mohammad Alam, who was shot by unidentified gunmen at Bara last week, died on Thursday. Alam, who was the chairman of the Muslim Ittehad Organisation, had been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment at TU Teaching Hospital.
He was shot a day after he had filed his candidacy from Bara 4 as UML’s candidate for the Constituent Assembly election scheduled for 19 November.
