Nepali Congress and its supporters came together on Friday at Khula Manch, Kathmandu, for a mass meeting. The meeting was organised at the end of the party’s nation wide public awareness campaign for peace and constitution.
The NC's supporters organised rallies from different part of the capital and converged at the venue.
Addressing the mass meeting, the senior leaders of the party said that the party will not support the extension of the CA’s term. They demanded that the ruling coalition, especially the Maoists, should agree on the party’s 10-point agreement. The Maoists were criticised for not following up on the agreements made in the past and for not being sincere towards the peace process.
