NC tells its ex-lawmakers to toe party's line

Two days after 78 ex-lawmakers from Nepali Congress issued a press statement against their party central committee decision to go for fresh elections, the party establishment has issued a counter statement instructing the party members to refrain from making media statement against party’s official stance.

In a press statement signed by spokesperson Dilendra Badu, the members are instructed to put aside CA revival agenda and join NC’s election drive. However, many in the party, including senior leaders like Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Poudel are unhappy with party's decision and feel revival is the most viable way out of the present deadlock.
