Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang is in Delhi, India to attend the Fifth Conference of the Speakers of SAARC Countries.

Addressing the inaugural session of the Conference, Nembang informed the participants of the conference about the progress and activities of the CA in constitution writing process. Explaining that Nepal is passing through the transitional period, he said the main task of the CA is to write the new constitution on the basis of broad consensus among the parties and to conclude the ongoing peace process.

Nembang said the CA has made significant progress in the constitution writing process and expressed confidence that the CA will prepare the draft of the new constitution by incorporating the wishes of the people.
