Five people from Dang died in the western Indian state of Goa after a buliding under construction collapsed on Saturday. They were working as security guards at the five storey apartment building.

The deceased are Sitaram Kami, Dipesh BK, Opendra Oli Tara Bahadur Khadka and Damber Nepali. They were two other Nepalis from Dang working at the apartment who survived the collapse.

Dang's Chief District Officer, Ravi Lal Pantha, said that the district administration is coordinating with the Ministry concerned for bringing the bodies to Nepal or sending their relatives to India.

According to reports from Indian media, at least 13 people were killed and soldiers have been deployed for rescue efforts in Goa.
