The Youth Association of Nepal (YAN) affiliated to the CPN-UML has called off the valley banda it announced earlier for Tuesday.
YAN Chairman Mahesh Basnet said they will withdrew Tuesday's banda after the Prime Minister expressed commitment to probe into the irregularities in the Youth Self-Employment Fund.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister said all programmes of the Fund would be postponed for now and the Fund made transparent and youths will included.
YAN was protesting against the recent act of the Fund to include only the favoured banks and commercial firms while distributing financial assistance from the Fund.
