Vice-chairman of the Maoists Mohan Baidhya and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa expressed their dissatisfaction on the agreement for the integration of the Maoist combatants.
Issuing a press release signed by the duo, they expressed their dissatisfaction and said that the agreement was an insult to the PLA combatants and called it an anti-peace move. The statement comes a day after the Special Committee headed by the Prime Minister endorsed the action plan for integration, rehabilitation and voluntary retirement of the Maoist combatants.
As per the action plan, survey teams will be mobilised in the cantonment sites from 16 November to start regrouping of the PLAs. The two have urged combatants to boycott the regrouping process.
"We appealed to all the PLA commanders and combatants to be completely detached from such act of surrender and reactionary move," the statement reads.
