Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the price of petrol by Rs 9 per litre effective from Sunday. Price of aviation fuel has also been hiked by Rs 10 per litre. NOC, which took the decision after two rounds of board meetings on Friday and Saturday, has attributed the hike to a rise in price of petrol in the international market and a decrease in supply.

After the hike, the price of petrol has reached to Rs 97 per litre and that of aviation fuel to Rs 90 per litre. Earlier they were available at Rs 88 and Rs 80 per litre respectively. The prices of other petroleum products like diesel, kerosene and cooking gas has not been hiked however.
