The leaders of four major parties agreed on Sunday to clear constitutional hurdles facing the appointment of a CJ-led government. NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel said they sent a written draft to Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi for review.
However the parties still don't see eye to eye on citizenship, voter registration, truth and reconciliation, and army integration.
More importantly, the Supreme Court is still to decide on a writ filed against the notion of a CJ-PM. In a radio interview 12 days ago, CJ Regmi discreetly revealed that his steps would be 'respectful' of law.
The hearing will take place on 14 March after it was postponed for a week on Thursday.
