Didibahini Radio FM, a community radio managed by an all-women team, has started a 'one village-one woman journalist' campaign.
Under the campaign, women journalists have been so far appointed in 18 VDCs of Parbat, Baglung and Myagdi districts, informed Station Manager of Didibahini Radio FM, Yojana Sharma.
Didibahini FM 95.2 MHZ – a community radio based in district headquarters, Kushma bazaar, has been airing its service for the past two years.
She added they have started appointing women journalists to explore various information and issues of the rural areas at grassroots level.
The newly-appointed women journalists will start working in their respective VDCs from 18 August. They have all been given capacity building training.
