The government has decided to increase the monthly salary of Maoist combatants residing inside cantonments in the different parts of Nepal.
The Baburam Bhattarai-led government decided on Sunday morning to increase the PLA's salary by Rs 1500 per month. Now, Maoist combatants will get a minimum monthly salary of Rs 6,5 00 to be effective from 17 July.
The Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Darbar took the decision to this effect.
