Two persons were hurt when unidentified assailants opened fire at them in Dhapakhel of Lalitipur district on Saturday.
Min Krishna Maharjan and Milan Silwal, both Nepali congress activists, sustained injuries on their thighs when they were shot at by motorcycle borne assailants while they were returning home.
District Police Office, Lalitpur said Maharjan and Silwal are currently receiving treatment at B & B Hospital in Lalitpur and are out of danger.
Police have also recovered two bullet shells, one sword and four motorcycles from the site where the attack took place.
Police said they have arrested few suspects in connection with the incident and have launched a man hunt to apprehend criminals who fled after the attack.
