Eighteen Village Development Committees (VDC) of Tanahu district have been declared open defecation free zone.
The goal is to make the entire district an open defecation free area.
The Rural Drinking Water Project informed that at least 1,573 cemented toilets have been constructed in nine wards of the VDC.
Local Development Officer Chhabi Lal Rijal said that construction of toilets and availability of drinking water in every household will bring about significant changes in health and sanitation.
