In a bid to garner support from different parties and forge consensus following the CA dissolution, the Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has been meeting leaders of different parties.

Bhattarai met with senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba at Deuba's residence on Wednesday. The Prime Minister has already met NC President Sushil Koirala and CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal.

During the meeting PM Bhattarai urged to assist government to hold election because the elections date was already fixed.

Following the meeting, Deuba told media that he talked about forging consensus considering the national circumstances and proposed three options to tackle the crisis. Deuba suggested that the constitution could be formulated hrough constitutional commission, reinstating the Constituent Assembly, or holding elections with necessary preparation. He further said he had already suggested the Prime Minister to impose emergency and extend CA term, but he denied.

Leader Deuba was of the view that national consensus had no alternative. He also said the Prime Minister must step down to bring the derailed politics into track.
